A static page is the equivalent of a book cover. You can set the cover of your Folio space as a static page so that your data and the space you want are visible instead of the page with the publications.
To create a static page, simply hover over the “Add” option in the top menu of your Folio space and click “Page.”
The editing page will open, just like when you create a new post. Once you’ve finished adding or editing content on the page, click “Update” in the right menu. It’s a good idea to add a home page title, main page, or similar.
Once the page is published, hover over “Settings” in the left menu and click on “Reading.” A page will appear with the options for configuring the pages. Select “A static page” and choose the page you want to be static from the drop-down menu just below. In this case, we have named it Homepage so that it is easy to find.
Click on “Save Changes” at the bottom left and you have a static page. The page will look like this.
Now you need to create a menu on the static page that allows Folio visitors to access the posts. In order for the static page to have a link to the posts page, where the blogs are published, you need to create a menu in which the static page (pictured “Homepage”) is at the top of the list. The next page in the menu should be the posts page (pictured “My Folio”). For more information on how to create a menu, click here.
