Creating a post in your Folio is very easy. Just hover over “New” in the top menu of your Folio and click on the “Post” option.
It is very important to make sure that you are editing your Folio. To do this, you should see your name next to “My Sites”. If not, you can find your folio by accessing “My Sites” or by directly entering the address [Your user].folio.uoc.edu in the browser.
This will take you to the page that will allow you to create a post. You can now write the title in the space provided for it and, in the central part, the desired text.
During the creation process, you can see how the post is looking by clicking on the “Preview” button in the “Publish” menu on the right. When the post is finished, all you have to do is choose the visibility mode you want it to have (private, public, with a password, etc.). If you want to link it to a subject or activity using ActiUOC, this is also the time to indicate this. For more information on the types of visibility of posts, click here, for more information on ActiUOC, click here. To finish, click on the “Publish” button.
Once the post has been published, you can modify its content, visibility and link to ActiUOC as many times as you like. To do this, you need to access the entries section of the Folio space by clicking on “Edit” the post you want to modify. This will open the editing page again and you can make all the changes you want by following the same process for creating the post.
Be careful when creating or editing a post. Before leaving the editing page, always click “Update” to save your changes. If you haven’t been able to finish editing the post, you can select “Private” visibility so that, until it’s finished, only you can see it.
If you didn’t click the update button and lost the work you were doing, don’t worry, look in the right menu, next to the revisions, for the “Browse” option to recover your work. For more information on this topic, click here.
